Celebrating Female Empowerment: Phoebe Body and Skin Care Launch

I was invited to attend a launch which took place on 25 September by Phoebe Body and Skin Care, as the Covid-19 restrictions were easing up I thought to myself what better way than to attend a black female entrepreneur launch. We have had a trying year none of which anyone expected so this launch was truly something to celebrate.

Phoebe chose a beautiful venue called Accolades Boutique Venue which really is an escape in Johannesburg. Guest Speakers included Chantelle Martin, Assistant Director in the Value Chain Support unit at the Department of Small Business Development in South Africa, Maureen Masuku Head of Travel at Rand Merchant Bank South Africa & Chairperson of the Global Business Travel Association in South Africa. We also had a lovely performance by IDOLS South Africa Season 8 Top 10 Finalist Obakeng Ramaboa.

The room was filled with so many people who cared for Phoebe and have supported her and continue to support her into her new venture. It was heartwarming to witness words of encouragement that each guest had to say to Phoebe.

Phoebe shared a heartfelt story of being diagnosed with Psoriasis from a young age as this is what inspired her to start her brand. She shared her skin journey and how this impacted her self confidence and growing up with the marks on her skin. Because of what she went through Phoebe used this to create products which would help others. A girl boss taking up space is what I like to call it!

The entire Phoebe range focuses on Psoriasis, Eczema and Dry Skin products which are handcrafted and entirely organic, made of high quality, superior base products, these skincare and aromatherapy essentials treat sore muscles and joints, hydrates the skin, evens out stretch marks, and leaves one relaxed and revitalized.

I have been using some of her products for a while now. I received the Facial cleanser, Whipped Shea Body Butter, Botanical facial toner, Rose infused treatment facial oil and Facial Moisturizer with vitamin A and E. I preferred asking Phoebe how she uses the products and what her recommendations are to get the best results. See below:

Step 1: Wash your face with warm water using the facial cleanser. Then dab dry your face with a dry towel

Step 2: Spray the Botanical facial toner. Wait a couple of seconds for your face to dry

Step 3: Use drops of the rose-infused treatment facial oil

Step 4: Use the Facial Moisturizer

The routine I have been using is to start with Step 1 and 2 then get into the shower then once I am done showering then go into Step 3 and 4. It’s just a unique routine I have found for myself to allow the toner to really set into my skin before moisturizing so the time in the shower works for me.

As someone who has dry skin, I have really been enjoying using the whipped shea body butter, it really does melt away into my skin and gives me a beautiful glow. It feels like magic my skin has really been thanking me for this.

I would thoroughly recommend Phoebe’s body and skincare range. If you are suffering from focusing on Psoriasis, Eczema and Dry Skin this is the product for you!
