Count Pushkin to launch colourful, locally developed card game at Comic Con Africa 2023

Award-winning premium vodka Count Pushkin is once again a proud sponsor of Comic Con Africa, happening at the Jhb Expo Centre from 22-25 September 2023. This year, they’re upping the ante by launching an exciting new card game, called Count Pushkin Play.

Count Pushkin believes that life is better when you play, so it made sense to develop and design an engaging, old school card game that people could play together, wherever they are, while sipping on a colourful Count Pushkin serve – even during loadshedding.

Speaking about the motivation to develop the game, Maisha Mamabolo, Brand Manager: White Spirits Portfolio, said: “Loadshedding is grim. It has led South Africans to analog pursuits under candlelight. Count Pushkin is a brand that supports liberation and self-expression, especially during these dark times, so we came up with a bright idea to develop a card game called Count Pushkin Play.”

The cards are a brightly coloured pack of characters, with a distinctly local design flavour. With simple, compelling gameplay, and packed with humorous South Africanisms, the game is a true reflection of our nature as a colourful people.

“With no less than six colourful flavours, Count Pushkin is a brand that invites people to live in full colour,” continued Mamabolo. “We’re thrilled to bring some colour to Comic Con Africa again and we will be encouraging festivalgoers to stay playful and of course, enjoy a vodka that is as unique as they are,” he concluded.

Apart from enjoying a few games of Count Pushkin Play with their friends, festival goers can also look forward to other playful brand attractions, like engaging games and exclusive drinks specials hosted by colourful Count Pushkin promoters.
